y = 3x + 4

y = -x - 4

3x + 4 = -x - 4

4x = -8

x = -2

y = 3(-2) + 4 = -2

intersection of lines is (-2,-2)

The first equation has a slope of 3 and y-intercept of 4.

The second equation has a slope of -1 and y-intercept of -4.
