(1) 2-x<-2, 2+2<x, 4<x so x>4 is the solution. x can have any value above 4. Solutions to inequalities give a range of values in contrast to equations which usually give very specific values.

(2) 2>2x, 1>x, so x<1 is the solution, all values of x below 1.
