kosine*sekant=1

sekant=1/kosine

thus, kosine*sekant=kosine/kosine=1 as long as kosine not =0

Well, sec theta = reciprocal of cos theta. So just substitute sec theta's value so you get cos theta * (1/cos theta) = (cos theta/cos theta) = 1
