determine the equation of the line if the x-intercept
of the line is 20 and y-intercept is 40

We are given two points (20,0) and (0,40)
From those, we can determine the slope, m

m = (40 -0) / (0 - 20) = 40 / -20 = -2

With that and the y-intercept we were given,
we can write the equation:

y = -2x +40
