The question doesn't state whether x+3 is in radians or degrees.

2sec(x+3)=8,

sec(x+3)=4,

cos(x+3)=¼=0.25,

x+3=cos-1(0.25)=1.3181 radians approx,

x=1.3181-3=-1.6818 radians.

If x+3 is in degrees, then x+3=75.52°, x=72.52°.
