This is my daughters problem and i don't know to explain it to her so that she will understand on a 4th grade level

First do one side of  it.So add (27+19)=46   then add 46+13=59. The answer of one side is 59

59=27+

Now she need to know  what number add on 27 to make it 59

so 59-27= 32
