1.) 3x=-90
Dividing both sides by 3 gives you the solution for 1 x.
x=-90/3 = -30.

2.) -3x=15
again divide both sides by 3
-x=15/3 = 5
but you need +ve x so multiply both sides by -1 (swap signs)
x=-5
