Both terms contain x so x is a factor. Since 3 divides into 12 and 3, 3x is a factor. 3x(4-x^2). 4-x^2 factorises further because it's the difference of two squares (2-x)(2+x). The completed factorisation is 3x(2-x)(2+x).
