-6y+2=-4x................eq1

y-2=x............................eq2

Step1:Multiply eq2 by 6   .........(or  Multiply eq2 by 4 to elliminate x)

6y-12=6x......................eq3

Step2:Add  eq1 and eq3   (y gets elliminated)

-10=2x

2x=-10

x=-10/2

x=-5

Step3: Substitute the value of x in any equation (1,2 or3)

-6y+2=-4x

-6y+2=-4(-5)

-6y+2=20

-6y=20-2

-6y=18

y=18/(-6)

y=-3

(x,y)=(-5,-3)
