Best answer

5x-4y=1

=> y = 5/4x - 1/4      ------------------(1)

m1 = 5/4 and c1= -1/4

-0.25x+0.5y=1/4

Multiply 4 on both side of the equation:

-x + 2y = 1

=> 2y = x + 1

=> y = x/2 + 1/2

m2 = 1/2 and c2 =1/2

Forgot to write,

The solution is where 2 lines intersect and in the above picture it is (1,1)

ie.  x=1 and y=1
