3x+8+2x-5=23

5x+3=23

5x=23-3=20

x=20/5=4

LM=3x+8=12+8=20units

MN=2x-5=8-5=3units

23=3X+8+2X-5

23=3X+2X+8-5

23=5X+3

23-3=5X+3-3
