4/y²-14/y-30=(y²/y²)(4/y²-14/y-30)=

(1/y²)(4-14y-30y²)=(2/y²)(2-7y-15y²)=

(2/y²)(1-5y)(2+3y).

Can also be written: 2(y⁻¹-5)(2y⁻¹+3).
