After ¼ discount the price goes down to 1-¼=¾ of the original price which is $880. So if this ¾ then ¼ of the original price is one third of $880=$293.33 to the nearest cent. The original price is 4 times this=$880÷3×4=$1173.33 to the nearest cent. Note that I’ve repeated the division by 3 to maintain accuracy. If you multiply $293.33 by 4 you get $1173.32 which is slightly less accurate.
