Total sales = 1050

total people = 400

adult tickets = a

student tickets = s

a+s=400

2s + 3a = 1050

solve the first equation and substitute into the second

subtract a

s=400-a

Substitute

2(400-a) + 3a = 1050

800 - 2a + 3a=1050

800+a=1050

a=250

substitue back into the first equation

250+s=400

s=150
