2. C, because the logs are added together

3. C, because 75000/5=15000 so we need 3×15000=45000

5. D. But I note that answers A and B are the same. I’m not happy with this answer but it seems the closest one to choose.

pls how did you work it

2. Log₁₀X+log₁₀Y=log₁₀(XY). So we simply substitute for the each log. When we wish to multiply two numbers together, we express each number as the power of a common base, in this case the base is 10: XY=10^a × 10^b=10^(a+b). We simply add the exponents a and b. In this question a=log₁₀X and b=log₁₀Y and a+b=log₁₁X+log₁₀Y, and we we use the given numbers.

3. We get one bonus share for every 5 we already have. So if we had 5 shares the bonus would be 3; for 10 shares the bonus is twice as much—6 shares; for 50 shares the bonus would be 10 times 3=30, and so on. So for 75000 it will be 15000 times 3=45000 bonus shares.

5. I wasn’t sure about question 5. And there is an error in the answer choice because answers A and B are identical, which is misleading. It’s possible that A or B is the correct choice, but either A or B, or both, have been misprinted. Since the question requires you to pick a given answer I picked D because it looked the nearest. I think that coord B is -2b+3, but I’m not sure about coord A.
