Let K=Kevin’s age and G=Gabriela’s age.

K=2G.

K-12=6(G-12)=6G-72, so K=6G-60.

Since K=2G we can substitute: 2G=6G-60, 4G=60, G=15 and K=30.

So Gabriela is now 15 years old and Kevin is 30.
