let L the length and W is the width   we have L=2W-5  the perimeter is 2(L+W)  --->>> 2(2W-5+W)

---->>>>  2(3W-5)   ---->>>   6W-10) = 230  ----->>>>>   6W = 230+10   6W=240  W = 240/6 = 40 yards

and since L=2W-5  we have L = 2*40-5 = 80-5 = 75  so we have W=40 yards   and  L = 75 yards

check;  2(40+75) = 2 x 115 = 230 yards
