No, that is not what rounding means.

Rounding is a way of getting a simpler, more usable number.  If we were talking about money, $0.857142857142571 would be more useful if we rounded it to the hundreds place, because we don't use anything smaller than $0.01 when we buy and sell stuff.

Here's the hundredths place:  0.8571428571428571

The next digit to the right (7) is greater than or equal to 5, so the 5 in the hundredths place rounds up.

Answer:  0.86
