a2+10a+30 has no real zeroes. So to calculate the complex zeroes:

a2+10a+30=0,

a2+10a=-30,

a2+10a+25=25-30=-5,

(a+5)2=-5,

a+5=±√-5=±i√5,

a=-5±i√5.

NOTE

a2+11a+30=(a+5)(a+6). Could this be what you meant?
