The cost of hiring a car for a day is $60 plus 0.25 cents per kilometer. Michelle travels 750 kilometers. What is her total cost.

There are two costs here. Cost per day and cost per kilometer.

Assuming that she only drives for one day,

Her daily cost is: $60 * 1 = $60

Her milage cost is: 750 km * 0.25c per km = 750 * 0.25 = 187.5c = $1.875 = $1.87

Total Cost = $60.00 + $1.87 = $61.87
