how do you solve substitution for x=5y-1 and x=2y=13

the second equation given tells me that the value of x = 13 and that the vale foe y is half of 13.

placing these values into the first equation gives us

x=5y-1

13=5(6.5)-1

this does not balance. There must have been an error in typing in the math equations.
