825/100=8.25. There are 2.5 tenths in this number, because 2.5 tenths is 25 hundredths. In the tenths position there is a 2. 82.5 tenths is 82.5/10=8.25; 8.25/0.1=82.5 so there are 82½ tenths in 825 hundredths.
