Problem: how do I solve 3x+226=7(x-6)

3x + 226 = 7(x - 6)
3x + 226 = 7x - 42
3x + 226 - 3x = 7x - 42 - 3x
226 = 4x - 42
226 + 42 = 4x - 42 + 42
268 = 4x
4x = 268
4x/4 = 268/4
x = 67
