You have to do the multiplication first, then that leaves you with:

3+3+9+3=18.

This is the equation when you separate numbers:

3+3+(3*3)+3=18

if you encounter with multiple functions, must separate multiply and devide sign first and then calculate:

Example:

3*2-4+1-4/2+5-2+2*6/4+12

after prioritization

(3*2)-4+1-(4/2)+5-2+(2*6/4)+12=(6)-4+1-2+5-2+(3)+12=19

using BODMAS; means multiplication comes first before addition => 3+3+(3*3)+3 =>3+3+9+3=18
