5x-y=5 so 10x-2y=10 and y=5x-5.

3x+2y=29

Add the two equations: 13x=39, so x=3.

y=5x-5=15-5=10.

CHECK

Substitute for x and y in the original equations:

5*3-10=15-10=5 OK

3*3+2*10=9+20=29 OK
