This can be written (1+(1/cos(x)))/(-sin(x)-tan(x))=-(1+1/cos(x))/(sin(x)(1+(1/cos(x))), because cos(x)=cos(-x).

The factor 1+(1/cos(x)) cancels out: -1/sin(x) which is the same as -cosec(x) QED.
