Hello, I need help with this question: Find x (x+23) (2x-7)

What is the value of x for the two walkways tangent to the big top, extending from the same point at the ticket booth? (x+23) (2x-7)

If these walkways have the same length then x+23=2x-7 and 30=x so x=30. Each walkway has length 53. Since the walkways are tangential to the big top and they originate from the same point they will be the same length because they form two congruent right-angled triangles with the radius of the big top.
