Two interpretations:

1) 8+(2/6)(22+6x)=58

8+(1/3)(22+6x)=58

(22+6x)/3=50

22+6x=150

6x=150-22=128, x=128/6=64/3=21 1/3=21.67 to nearest 100th

OR

2) 8+2/(6(22+6x))=58

8+1/(3(22+6x))=58

1/(3(22+6x))=50

3(22+6x)=1/50

22+6x=1/150

6x=1/150-22=1/150-3300/150=-3299/150

x=-3299/900=-32.99/9=-3.666... =-3.67 to nearest 100th

8+2/6(22+6x)=58

2/6(22+6X) = 50

Devide by 2 whole equation,

1/6(22+6X) = 25

1 = 25 x 6(22+6X)

1 =  3300 + 900X

X = -3299/900

X = -3.67
