The two fractions can be reduced: 6/24=1/4 and 2/8=1/4. They are both the same fraction so dividing one by the other is 1. It doesn't matter in this case which way they're divided: 6/24 ÷ 2/8 is the same result as 2/8 ÷ 6/24. Any number divided by itself is 1.
