Is -4.78 > -5.01
Yes. We use a number line with negative numbers going off to the left, getting
smaller, and positive numbers going off to the right, getting larger. The
further you move to the left, the smaller the numbers. Starting from zero and
counting to the left, we get to -4 before we get to -5.

Is -11/8 < 23/15
Yes. As explained above, using the number line, any positive number, located
to the right of zero, is greater than any negative number, located to the
left of zero.
