Start with point-slope form:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 2 = (2/9)(x - 5)

move stuff around to get it into slope-intercept form

y - 2 = (2/9)x - 10/9

y = (2/9)x - 10/9 + 2

y = (2/9)x - 10/9 + 18/9

y = (2/9)x + 8/9

that's slope-intercept form
