2e(4x+1)=4    round to three decimal places

2e(4x+1) = 4

e(4x+1) = 2

4x + 1 = 2/e

4x = 2/e - 1

x = (2/e - 1)/4

substituting for e = 2.7182818,

x = (2/2.7182818 - 1)/4

x = (0.7357589 - 1)/4

x = -0.264211/4

x = -0.066060

Answer: x = -0.066 to 3 dp
