Question: simplify (e-d)/(2e+d) x (2e+d)(d-3)/(d-e).

The expression is: (e-d)/(2e+d) x (2e+d)(d-3)/(d-e)

First of all, you have the term (2e+d) on top and bottom, so it cancels out. This leaves us with,

(e-d) x (d-3)/(d-e)

Now we see that (e-d) is just the negative of (d-e), so we can write the expression as,

-(d-e) x (d-3)/(d-e)

And the (d-e) cancels out on top and bottom. Leaving us with

-(d-3)

Or,

(3-d)
