I have no idea how to make x become 0.5 x or whatever. I would like to know how to prove this trigonometric equation, I find it difficult. Thank you for any help.

(1-cosX)/ SinX 

Use half angle formula

2 sin^2 X/2          =   sinx/2          =tanx/2 or tan     x  = tan 0.5x

2sinx/2. cosx/2        cosx/2                                    2
