lenght of one base of a trapezoid is 3cm longer than the length of the other base. The altitude of trapezoid is twice the length of the shorter base. If the area of trapezoid is 40 sq cm, find the length of the longer base to nearest tenth of cm

base2=base1+3

hite=2*base1

area=2*base1*(base1+base1+3)/2....=base1*(base1+base1+3)

=base1*(2base1+3)...2base1^2+3base1=40

so yu have 2x^2+3x-40=0
