8(3a+y)=9(2a-4)

8*3a + 8y = 9*2a - 9*4

24a + 8y = 18a - 36

 8y = 18a - 24a - 36

8y = - 6a - 36

y = -6a/8 - 36/8

y = - 3a/4 - 9/2
