me assume that stuf shood be

(2 & 4/6) + (n/9)=(3 & 5/6)

or (n/9)=(3 & 5/6) -(2 & 4/6)

(n/9)=(18/6) - (16/6)

(n/9)=(2/6)=1/3

n=(9/3)...=3

Subtract the sum of the whole numbers on the left from the whole number on the right and we are left with the fractions because 3-3 leaves no whole numbers. Now subtract 4/6 from each side: n/9=5/6-4/6=1/6 so n/9=1/6 and n is not a whole number but is itself a fraction 3/2. (3/2)/9=1/6.
