If the time travelled is the same for Ani and Alex and we know that distance divided by speed gives this time, we can write an equation linking the two different speeds: s (Ani's speed) and s+5 (Alex's speed): 90/(s+5)=75/s. Cross-multiply by s(s+5): 90s=75(s+5), so 90s=75s+375, from which 15s=375 or s=25 mph. Alex's speed is 5 mph more than s=30 mph. Plug the speeds into (distance/speed) we find that 90/30=75/25=3 hrs.
