Add up the hours used: 1+7+1+2+9 plus 2 hrs softball=22 hrs. That leaves 2 waking hours free to make up 24 hours in the day. 2 out of 24=2/24=1/12. Therefore on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Missy has 1/12 of a day free.

If we take out the 2 hrs softball, 4 out of 24 hours are free, that's twice as much as 2 hours=2/12=1/6.
