Solve for y:
3x - 6y = 12

First subtract 3x from both sides:
-6y = 12 - 3x

Now divide everything by -6:
y = -12/6 + 3/6x

Finally simplify:
y = -2 + 1/2x

I would then rewrite this as:
y = 1/2x - 2

What is the answer for 5y-7+y+35=6y+30-2y
by

3x+6y=12

-3x+3x+6y=12-3x

6y=-3x+12 now divide everything by 6

y=-.5x+2
