12/(1/(2+2^3))=12/(1/(2+8))=12/0.1=120.

OK, sorry. But the other answer to your question is the same as mine, so perhaps the original question was edited? There doesn’t seem to be any way to place parentheses to produce the result 120.

 

12/(1/(2+2^3))=12/(1/(2+8))
