The expression can be simplified but not solved for a: 3a+54. If, for example, we know these are two angles are on a straight line, we can write 3a+54=180, then we can work out a: 3a=126, so a=42 and the two angles are a+10=52° and 44+2a=128°. But without more info, we can't write an equation.
