25% means 25/100 and since 25 goes exactly 4 times into a hundred we can write the fraction as 1/4. Now the question reads: what is a quarter of 80? That means divide 80 by 4=20. Another way of finding a percentage of a number is to multiply by the percentage and divide the result by 100: 25*80/100= 2000/100=20.
