For 7=(2/9)+k, multiply the equation both sides by 9: 63=2+9k, so 9k=61, and k=61/9. For 7=2/(9+k), multiply both sides by (9+k): 7(9+k)=2. Open the brackets: 63+7k=2, so 7k=-61, and k=-61/7.
