0.5x+0.6y=5.7 and 2x-y=1
Solving linear equation

0.5x + 0.6y = 5.7
2x - y = 1

10*(0.5x + 0.6y) = 5.7 * 10
5x + 6y = 57

6(2x - y) = 1 * 6
12x - 6y = 6

     5x + 6y = 57
+(12x - 6y =  6)
--------------------
   17x        = 63
17x = 63
x = 63/17

2x - y = 1
2(63/17) - y = 1
126/17 - y = 1
-y = 1 - 126/17
-y = -109/17
y = 109/17

0.5x + 0.6y = 5.7
0.5(63/17) + 0.6(109/17) = 5.7
1.85294 + 3.847 = 5.7
5.69994 = 5.7     with rounding errors on the left side

x = 63/17, y = 109/17
