If N is the total number of participants, we can write 3N/16+10N/16+150=N. Note that 5/8 is the same as 10/16. Add the fractions and take to right of equation: 150=N(1-13/16)=3N/16, which happens to be the same as those saying yes. So those saying yes comes to 150, total number of participants=16/3*150=800. Those saying no = 5/8*800=500.
