(x^-2y)^1/2(xy^-3)^1/3 means to me sqrt(y/x^2)*cuberoot(x/y^3). That becomes (sqrt(y))/x * cuberoot(x)/y, or ((y^1/2)/x)*(x^1/3)/y or ((y^1/2)(x^1/3))/xy.
