x+square root of x                    sqrtx = x^( 1/2)

df/dx = d( x + sqrtX)/dx =d(  x + x^(1/2))/dx

                                                                                   1

= 1 + 1/2*x^( 1/2 - 1) = 1 + 1/2*x^( -1/2) = 1 + ------------------ =

                                                                            2x^(1/2)

          = 1 + 1/( 2sqrtx )
