I used the pe mdas precedence and I got 6 as the answer. But when I tried to used a calculator it gives 0. Why is that? Pls explain this to me. Thanks for those who can help me.

PEMDAS=multiplication before add and subtract

what you have done is that you have done it in order.

you have to do the multiply FIRST, before adding and subtracting

now do all multiplication

2x2=4
 so the whole problem will be written as:
4+2-4-2

which equals 0

you can also try adding brackets to multiplication and division and then

do the whole thing for you to not get confused

(2*2) +2 -(2*2)-2

or (2*2) -(2*2)

=4-4

=0
