1 Answer

(x+2)/4 + (x-3)/4 = 6

multiply all pieces by 4

(x+2) + (x-3) = 24

combine like terms on the left

2x - 1 = 24

add 1 to both sides

2x = 25

divide both sides by 2

x = 25/2 or 12 1/2
